Bose has today unveiled the successor to their SoundLink MiniBluetooth speaker, the SoundLink III.

Said to be the “best-performing mobile Bluetooth speaker”, Bose say it features louder and longer playback than the SoundLink Mini, whilst still featuring the same wireless streaming capabilities via Bluetooth.

Featuring a range of about 30 feet, the speaker can be connected to any device that has Bluetooth capabilities by pressing and holding the Bluetooth button on the top panel of the speaker.

Alongside which it also features a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that is said to last 14 hours from a single charge, as well as an AUX input for normal audio connection, a USB port for software updates and a port to charge it with.

The speaker will come in a range of coloured designs that also feature optional covers (priced at $35 each) for scratch resistance, including grey, blue, orange, green and pink. The speaker is also only 5 inches in height, 10 inches in width and 2 inches deep, whilst only being 3lb in weight.

The SoundLink III Bluetooth speaker is now available from Bose’s Uk and US websites, costing $299.95 in the US and £259.95 in the UK, with a bundle available that includes both a speaker and a case for £289.90.
