After announcing the release of  the new Z2, Bowers & Wilkins revealed earlier today that they will be updating their Zeppelin Air iOS dock, which will now feature a Lightning connector as well as an updated LED array on the front, apart from which it’s pretty much the same speaker.

You will still be able to use AirPlay with the device, allowing you to connect various iOS devices and Mac’s wirelessly, and B&W say that the device will even allow you to dock the iPad Mini, but it will not be able to charge it, which is a bit of a bummer.

Inside the speaker is also still very much the same with two 25W tweeters, two 25W mid-range drivers and a 50W subwoofer.

The updated version of the dock will be available from May for £499.
