If you have ever checked into an airport before, you will know most of your waiting time will be taken at the check-in desk. In order to speed this up, British Airways teamed up with Designworks, getting rid of the older paper baggage tags, in favor of a new electronic bag tag that has been designed to allow smartphone users to create a unique barcode and place the tag on your bag, holding your flight information.
The tag can also be reused, saving the need to print out new paper tags each time you check in.
The managing director of brands and customer experience explained:
