With their Infinity Broadband package, BT are now offering a free YouView set box worth £299, which includes over 100 digital TV and Radio stations with access to seven days of catch-up TV including BBC, ITV 40D and Demand5, all via the free YouView Humax box.

Alongside that, customers on the package will also get access to over 5,000 programmes and movies on-demand through the BT Access service, as well as the ability to store 300 hours of SDTV or 125 hours of HDTV on the 500GB hard drive.

New BT customers can pre-register from today, but the free box won’t be available until October 26th, customers must however sign up to a minimum 12-month term and pay a £49 activation charge as well as a £6.95 delivery charge.

However if you are outside of the BT Infinity area, then you should still be able to grab a free box by subscribing to a TV Essential package which starts of at £4 a month, existing BT subscribers can also receive a free YouView box, but will have to pay the same costs as new customer, but they must be approaching the end of their current contact to do so.
