BT first announced their new BT Sport channel a short time ago, consisting of BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and the recently acquired ESPN channel, the channel will be free to all BT broadband customers, or £3 a month for the HD versions of the channels, which will be free for a year if customers sign up before August 1st.

non-BT broadband customers can also grab the service, announced for Sky at £15 for HD or £12 a month for SD. no word yet on other providers yet however.

The service, once subscribed to, will be available to view on PCs, smartphones and tablets, otherwise you will need a YouView and BT Vision+ set-top box, or for Sky customers a Sky+ or Sky+HD box.
