Virgin Media has today announced that it will be teaming up with BT to offer their new BT Sport channel to their subscribers, already available for free to those on BT’s Broadband service, the three channels will now also be free to those who subscribe to an XL package with Virgin Media.

The three channels include BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN, with HD variants of each channel the package will allow viewers to watch live football from both the Barclays Premier League and a range of international matches, as well as Aviva Premiership rugby, WTA tennis, the FA Cup, UFC, NASCAR and various other sports.

For those on the M M+ or L packages, BT Sport can be added to your subscription for £15 a month.

The channel will also be available on Virgin’s TV Anywhere service, allowing users to watch the channels on the move.
