John Petter, the consumer division head at BT, announced via The Financial Times earlier today that BT Sport will soon be the second UK broadcaster to be available through Google’s Chromecast device.

The broadcaster will allow access to users who are subscribed to BT’s Broadband service, granting them access to all BT Sport content, including Premier League matches and FA Cup coverage.

The service will join current services like YouTube, Google Play and Netflix, alongside BBC iPlayer, which is currently the only other UK broadcaster to be available through the device.

Well sort of anyway, as Sky recently confirmed that they will be updating their NOW TV service to support the device.

As of yet no date for the release has been announced, however when it does we will let you know.

Whilst you wait you could probably go ahead and pick up a Chromecast, which is currently available in various retail stores across the UK for £30.
