BT has this week revealed that they will be the first TV service in the UK to offer its customers Netflix in Ultra HD, allowing BT TV customers to access a number of the service’s shows in an Ultra HD resolution.

All of the shows will be available with the new Ultra HD YouView+ set-top box, alongside Netflix’s Ultra HD plan that is priced at £8.99 a month.

All of which will allow users to access a number of original shows from Netflix and from others including House of Cards, Narcos, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, and Better Call Saul and more.

And to make it easier BT will pack this into one package that includes Infinity Broadband, BT TV and Netflix under a single bill, all the customer needs is an Ultra HD TV or a 4K TV, and a subscription to BT’s Total Entertainment package that is priced at £15.

New customers will also receive a YouView+ Ultra HD set-top box as part of the fee.

Delia Bushell, managing director of BT TV & BT Sport said the following about the introduction:

“This is bringing our BT TV customers the best drama series married with the highest quality viewing experience now available. Our Ultra HD package will enhance the experience and provide unmissable content at great value, including must-see new Netflix shows like Narcos, and original series like Orange Is The New Black available, alongside live action from the Barclays Premier League and UEFA Champions League and Europa League. We’re delighted to be offering our customers a wide range of incredible Ultra HD content with the convenience of a single bill.”
