Buffalo Technology has today announced their latest slimline, powerful and cheap portable hard drive range, dubbed the MiniStation, the storage portfolio is available in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacity’s.

There also all pretty slim, the device itself is only 11.5mm thick, and weighs just 165 grams, but all still offer USB 3.0 speeds, with data transfers of up to 5GB/s, resulting in about 1,000 photos in 9 seconds according to Buffalo, and is four times faster than USB 2.0, and utilize Buffalo’s TurboPC EX software.

All of the drives in the family is compatible with Windows 8, 7, Vista and XP as well as Mac OS X 10.6 or later, and will be available from  Dabs, Amazon and eBuyer, priced at £59.99 for the 500GB model, £84.99 for the 1TB or £159.99 for the 2TB model.
