Earlier this week we let you know that you could pre-download the open beta for Ghost Recon Wildlands, today the time for pre-downloading is over as the open beta is live and ready for gamers worldwide to get stuck into.

In the open beta, you will be able to explore the open world of Wildlands, exploring its scenery and tackling the drug mafia with your own team of operatives, which can either be player controlled or AI controlled.

It is available to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players for free today, however, it does require that you have either a PS Plus or an Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to take part.

The beta will run from February 23rd, 2017 until February 27th, 2017. After it has concluded your next chance to play the game will be when it officially launches on March 7th, 2017.
