For some time now Das Keyboard has been known for creating some pretty cool keyboards, but earlier this year they revealed that they weren’t done yet.

This was with the launch of their Das Keyboard 5Q Kickstarter project in July, which raised a massive $580,902 from 3,475 backers.

But if you didn’t get a chance to back the project a few months ago, then you might be happy to know that it is now available to pre-order for anyone.

The Das Keyboard 5Q is particularly interesting because it claims to be “the world’s first cloud connected keyboard”.

It is capable of streaming information from the web right onto the keyboard itself, rather than on the display, so basically, info and notifications would pop-up as user-defined colours on the 5Q’s QWERTY keys, which sound like a pretty cool way of keeping up to date with your internet services.

It also has their new Gamma-Zulu mechanical switch, which is said to have a 1.5mm actuation point with the ability to withstand 100 million presses in its lifetime.

You can pre-order it now from Das Keyboard’s site for $229, but before you do take a look at the video below. We also expect to see more at CES 2017.
