If you are one of our neighbours in Ireland then you may have been patiently waiting for the day that you can use your phone to pay for stuff, well, that day is today.

Apple has finally launched the Apple Pay mobile payments system in Ireland.

From today you will be able to use Apple Pay with the KBC bank and the Ulster Bank in Ireland, as well as the Boon prepay system, which you can use to prepay selected amounts to use with the service.

You can use it on the Apple Watch, the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, iPhone 7, and the 7 Plus in stores.

You can also use Apple Pay online if you have the supported macOS system.

Currently, a wide range of retailers in Ireland support payments with Apple Pay, including Boots, Burger King, Marks and Spencer’s and many more.
