There’s about a week before the beta for Destiny 2 goes live but to stop any potential downloading woes, Bungie has enabled pre-loading of the beta from today.

With this, you will be able to download the beta on both Xbox One and on PS4 from today, allowing you to jump right in when the beta begins.

In order to get a pre-download going you will need to redeem a code on Bungie.net, which you recieve if you have already pre-ordered the game.

Once you have redeemed it, you will get a code on Bungie’s site for the platform of your choice, from there you simply enter the code on your Xbox One or PlayStation 4 and sit and wait for the download to finish.

That said, you won’t be able to actually access it until the beta begins.

It will also be a bit of a wait.

The beta takes up 15GB of space on the PS4 and 12.8GB on the Xbox One, so check that you have the space first and sure to do it when you don’t need bandwidth for anything else, after all, you do have a week.

The beta test for Destiny 2 will open up for those who pre-ordered the game on July 18th for PS4 players and on July 19th for Xbox One players.

After that, anyone will be able to access it from July 21st.

You will be able to play it up until July 23rd, after which you will have to wait for its release on consoles on September 6th and on PC on October 24th.
