Canon have just announced their latest digital camera, the PowerShot SX280 with a 20x optical zoom, both wireless and GPS technology, as well as the new Digic 6 processor, a 14fps shooting speed and a 12.1 megapixel CMOS sensor.

The wireless technology will allow you to share photos and videos from your connected Android or iOS smartphones or tablets with the free Canon Camera Window application, alongside which you can also share directly to social networks and to Canon’s image gateway3, and even transfer photos to computers, wireless cameras and even printers.

The PowerShot SX280 HS also features a 25mm wide-angle lens, with a 20x optical zoom providing a range of up to 500mm. The camera is also said to perform well in low-light with an ISO range of 6400.

In terms of video, the SX280 will record in 1080p HD MP4 formats, with a frame rate of up to 60 or 30 fps.

They also announced the SX270 digital camera, which features similar specs, just without the Wi-Fi.

The PowerShot SX2280 HS will launch in the US in April 2013, for $329.99, where not sue of the pricing or availability for other country’s yet.
