There’s only a week left until one of the games I have been most excited to see is releases, Capcom’s new version of the Devil May Cry franchise is one that has always scared me as I never really like change, especially when it comes to a game I have been played for nearly all of my gaming life.

During the latest trailer Dante makes his way to a local bank which he makes his way through i the usual fashion, stamping a “FORECLOSED” stamp until the forehead of the demon who seems to be running the bank as CEO, he is the perfect moneybags character, surrounded by women, smoking a cigar and quite far into the chubby side of life.

What makes me wonder is whether DmC may be turning more towards a political statement than pure demon crushing action, that’s not what Devil May Cry is about and I’m certainly hoping it doesn’t end up that way.

I must say though if the game plays anything like that it should be a great game.

DmC: Devil May Cry will be available on January 15th for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, a version for the PC will also be released on the 25th.
