Casio first revealed the new WSD-F10 rugged Android Wear smartwatch back at CES 2016, and now it is finally available.

Launched in a range of finishes with a number of retailers, it can be purchased in white, black, orange and black, and is priced at around $500 (no UK pricing yet).

It is also compatible with any Android device that runs a version from 4.3, and runs the Android Wear operating system.

It will also be compatible with iOS devices from the iPhone 5, as long as they are running iOS 8.2 or above, however, there is limited functionality for these iOS devices.

The smartwatch has also been constructed with the Military standard MIL-STD-810G, and features a range of sensors inbuilt. It is also water resistant up to 50 meters and is suitable for use during short swimming sessions.

These sensors all for full activity tracking in real-time, with an altimeter, barometer and compass.

This can then all be viewed from the companion application.
