The UK broadcaster, Channel 5 has this week confirmed that they will be rebranding the on-demand service Demand 5, renaming it to My5 from this point on.

The broadcaster has already updated its iOS and Android applications with the new My5 portal, and other platforms like smart TVs, set-top boxes, games consoles and more will get it in the coming months.

Channel 5 also launched the new my5.tv website, allowing users to catch-up with programming from the broadcaster through their browser, with the Channel 5 website remaining for programme information and promotion.

You will still be able to access of all the previous Demand 5 content with My5, but it will also offer a range of exclusives just for the show, and will include box sets of shows, with access to Channel 5, 5Star, 5USA and Spike content.

The new service will also have the ability to allow users to favourite shows, keep track of what they have watched and pause viewing on one device and resume it on another.

Content will still be streamed in standard definition unfortunately.
