If you looking to change your 3G plan to a 4G one or switch mobile provider all together then we have something for you.

This is the new mobile coverage map from Ofcom that allows users to compare all of the network providers, allowing you to check who has the best 3G, 4G and voice signals in the locations in which you live, work or travel too, helping you to get the best performance from your plan as is possible.

To get started just head on over to ofcom.org.uk/mobile-coverage, select an area in the UK in which you want to check coverage, then chose one of the mobile operators available.

From here you can then filter results by voice calls, 3G and 4G, with the map showing the area with a colour to indicate how good it is, both indoors and outdoors.

EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three do have their own individual coverage maps, however Ofcom is the only one that provides all of them in one place, and it might even offer different information as it uses its own field tests.

However the smaller operators won’t be included in the map.

You can check those who piggy-back off other networks by checking the bigger network, Virgin Mobile, Asda Mobile and BT Mobile piggy-back off EE, Tesco Mobile, Giffgaff and Lycamobile use the O2 network and both Lebrara Mobile and TalkTalk Mobile use Vodafone.

To maintain accuracy you will also be able to leave feedback on the page for anything that you think might be wrong.
