Today it was revealed that Civilization 6 will be adding Australia for the first time in the series, bringing the land Down Under to the popular turn-based strategy game.

Australia will be added in an upcoming premium DLC release that will come alongside the game’s forthcoming Australian Summer update, adding the 14th Prime Minister of Australia, John Curtin.

The update part of things will be available for free and will add new multiplayer teams and mode tolls, while the Australian DLC will be a paid expansion pack for the game and will include all of the new Australian stuff for the game.

In particular, it will feature a new unique ability called Land Down Under, which provides cities extra housing when built on a coastal tile, it will also bring a new unique unit named The Digger, that unit will replace the infantry unit and will offer additional power when on land tiles that are adjacent to water.

To top that off, there’s also a new unique improvement called the Outback Station, which unlocks alongside the guild civic and provides extra food and production with bonus food for adjacent pastures.
