If you live in the UK and bank with either Metro Bank or the Co-operative Bank then you may be happy to know that you can now use Apple Pay.

This comes after the two banks revealed that they would be enabling support for the mobile payments system earlier today, joining a number of banks in the process.

Currently Apple Pay is supported by HSBC, Natwest, Santander, Barclays, Lloyds Bank, TSB, and RBS.

Co-operative Bank said that any customers who already have the Everyday Rewards program will be able to use the system, and Metro Bank will let any new customers use the Apple Pay service as soon as their new account has been opened, which they claim to be the only bank to provide this.

This doesn’t leave many more banks to join the service in the UK, but it has been said that Apple is working on bringing reward cards and store cards to the service in the UK soon, so there is still a lot more to wait for.
