The BB-8 robot from Sphero was already quite cool, but today they have managed to make it a little more awesome.

This is with the launch of a new accessory for their BB-8 droid that will allow you to control the robot toy with the Force, yes the frigging force.

It is named the Force Band and allows you to both push and pull the BB-8, as well as guide it around.

Take a quick look at it below.

“Branching out of app-enabled robotics and into new categories that enhance play patterns and user experience has always been our goal,” said Paul Berberian, CEO. “We continue to broaden the realm of what’s possible when it comes to robotics and as a result are able to deepen the connection between user and the app-enabled BB-8™ Droid™ product. The introduction of our first gesture based wearable is a major milestone for Sphero.”

Additionally, Sphero revealed a special edition battle-worn BB-8™ App-Enabled Droid™ toy. Featuring movie-replica deco, the battle-worn BB-8™ Droid™ product draws inspiration directly from the BB-8, the breakout spherical star, as seen in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

You can find out more about the band at the source link below, it will be available from 30th of September for $79.99 and it will also be available bundled with BB-8 for $199.
