Corsair unveiled their new line of solid state drives (SSDs) this week, called the Neutron Series XTi, they have been designed for top-of-the-line performance and stability, with up to 1920GB of storage
They are designed specifically for users who require a large amount of storage in portable yet reliable manner. Corsair says that they are great for anyone from a video game enthusiast to a YouTuber.
The entire range of SSDs features a quad-core controller which allows for transfer speeds of up to 560MB/s, and sequential write speeds of up to 540MB/s according to Corsair.
They are also capable of delivering 4K random reads at a rate of 100K IOPS and 4K random writes at a rate of 90K IOPS.
This means huge performance benefits for users, Corsair goes as far as to say that this line will pretty much saturate the SATA 6Gbp/s interface.
On top of all of that, the drives also have end-to-end path protection to minimize the possibility of corruption from the host to the NAND gate, with power loss protection, advanced SmartFlush and GuarenteedFlush technologies.
The Corsair Neutron Series XTi is available to purchase from today, it is priced at $90 for the 240GB model, $160 for the 480GB model and $330 for the 960GB model.
The 1920GB option will also be available at a later date, however, pricing for that has not yet been announced.
