Scott Trattner, the man behind the awesome “Get a Mac” campaign and the not so awesome and recent “Genius Bar” ads, is leaving TBQA/ Media Arts Lab as executive creative director in order to fill the same role at 72andSunny.
Apple’s most recent ad campaign might be the reason for this, which was aired during the Olympics and received a very poor response from its audience, and was finally pulled a couple of weeks later.
But thee sheer success of the “Get a Mac” campaign, is defiantly enough for Scott to be proud of his work, TBWA declined to comment on his departure but Scott did say this about the move, “I’ve known John [Boiler], Glenn [Cole] and Matt [Jarvis] for a long time and have admired their work and approach to creativity,” I’m inspired to be joining 72andSunny at such an exciting time of growth and endless potential.”
Trattner will be joined by two other newly appointed creative directors, Jason Norcross and Frank Hahn who will be responsible for looking after the agency’s clients, ranging from Activision all the way to K-Swiss.
