D-Link has this week announced their brand new home security product, Komfy.

Announced as a smart switch, it is equipped with a HD camera to allow users to view their home or premises from a smartphone application remotely, with integration with features that allow it to detect sound, motion, the air quality and a lot more.

That camera is a 1080p HD camera that has a wide angle 130 degree lens.

On top of that it even has integration with IFTTT, allowing users to set-up automatic actions once the camera has detected something.

The Komfy also has a microSD card slot for storing recordings, with Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi connectivity that allows it to connect to your internet and iPhone or iPad device.

By the way, it’s also a completely functional light switch.

The device is now available to pre-order for $300, but once it does ship (expected for next month) the price will rise to $370.
