Earlier this week we posted an article about the announcement of Darksiders remastered, but apparently, that reveal was premature, as was confirmed by Nordic Games’ PR & Marketing Director Philipp Brock in the following statement:

“We had a short-lived epidemic of premature emancipation, causing the affected persons to burp out sensitive info a little sooner than planned, but after a minor surgery and some medication, we got it all under control.”

Today Nordic Games has stated that it was supposed to be the official announcement date for the remastered version of the original 2010 Darksiders, called the Darksiders Warmastered Edition, it will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and on the PC on October 25th, 2016.

The game will be a complete remaster of the original, featuring a native 1080p resolution for consoles with 4K support for PC, double the texture resolutions, a number of improvements to the rendering, better shadow rendering, post-processing effects and 60 FPS in moment to moment gameplay.

On top of all that, Nordic Games released the following screenshots for the remastered edition.
