If you have a bike then you are probably looking for a better way to protect yourself from bike theft. Here are some examples of such theft around the world:

• 1.5 million stolen in the US every year
• 70 bikes every day in Berlin
• 450,000 every year in the Netherlands
• 1 every 90 seconds in the UK

There are a number of locks that aim to do this, however, a lot of them aren’t very useful and they can be easily opened by thieves if they know how to.

Today a new project was launched on the Kickstarter crowdfunding website that aims to do this with a better solution. It’s called Deeper Lock and is a smartphone-controlled bicycle security system that allows you to unlock and lock a bike with your smartphone, no need for a key.

It also claims to be the first ever GPS-powered bike security system which offers tracking, alerts, alarm, keyless locking and more.

Check it out in the video below and be sure to hit up the source link below that to find out more and to back the project if you are interested.
