Dell has today upgrading its Venue 8 Android tablet, with a new thinner and lighter design and a few new specs, including a 2.1GHz Intel Atom Z3480 Merrifield processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of eMMC storage in-built.

There’s also a microSD card slot to allow for a further 64GB of storage.

The tablet also runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and includes an 8 inch 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution display, the body is also only 8.9mm thin, and inside you will find Waves MAXXAudio Pro technology.

Dell will also be supplying a Bluetooth Keyboard Folio case, Bluetooth Portable Speaker and a Duo Tablet Case with the tablet alongside a Dell Venue Cradle that allows for wireless charging of the handset.

The Dell Venue 8 is said to be released in the next few months, priced at around $199 in the US.
