Some specifications for an upcoming next-generation Dell XPS 15 notebook were leaked this week, showing a new version of the laptop that comes equipped with a Nvidia GTX 1050 graphics card.

While the GTX 1050 GPU isn’t that overly impressive (we would definitely prefer a GTX 1050 Ti or a 1060), it’s quite the step up from what the Dell XPS 15 has previously featured.

This leak listed the new laptop at the XPS 15 9560 notebook, which says that it will come with an inbuilt fingerprint reader for extra security.

The leak also notes that it will feature a display with a 3,840 x 2,160-pixel resolution, along with the ability to build in up to 32GB of 2,133MHZ of RAM, and up to 1TB of solid state storage.

It is also said that the new XPS 15 will feature an Intel Kaby Lake quad-core processor, which is particularly interesting since that version of the processor has not been announced yet, the reason why the new MacBook Pro didn’t use Kaby Lake.

The leak suggests that it will come with options for either an Core i3-7100HQ, Core i5-7300HQ, or a Core i7-7700HQ.

These specs were listed on the Dell website, so they can be trusted quite highly, however, nothing completely official has been revealed by Dell yet and they did take the details down soon after.

But not before Hacker News released the details on their own website.

No information on pricing or availability has been revealed yet.
