Denon has today revealed their plans for a new all-in-on wireless sound system called the Cocoon Stream, which can be used to wirelessly stream audio from various devices including PCs, Macs, Network drives, iOS devices and even tablets and smartphones that run on Android.

With iOS, PC and Mac devices in particular, the system uses Apple’s AirPlay technology to stream lossless audio from any iOS device or any computer running on the latest iTunes.

However that’s not all the system can do, as it will also allow you to connect an Android device, or Windows device using a dedicated application, which allows it to steam using a WiFi connection.

Alongside which, the Cocoon can also use your WiFi connection to stream music from any connected NAS drive or even access various internet radio stations.

Inside the Cocoon, Denon have fitted a two-way speaker system with their own dual layer cones, bass ports and amplification technology within a large acoustic chamber, which also features advanced digital signal processing technology. In terms of design, the new speaker is constructed with an aluminium base as well as a fabric back, featuring a USB port and AUX port for connecting devices directly.

The Denon Cocoon Stream is available from today in both black and white for £250.
