Today Denon announced that their latest home theatre product, the HEOS AVR will be shipping around the world in April of this year, providing users with a new wireless A/V receiver to choose from.

But the HEOS AVR isn’t like normal A/V receivers, featuring an easy setup and a range of features that includes a 5.1-channel configuration and wireless audio streaming with multiroom functionality.

Thanks to this capability, users won’t need any wires to get their 5.1 configuration set up.

Any speaker that is HEOS-enabled can be used with the system, via this multiroom functionality, all you need to do is pair the speakers with the HEOS AVR and you are good to go.

If you prefer wires then you will be glad to know that the receiver also features a class-D amplifier built-in, with support for 50 watts of audio power per channel.

But this speaker has a lot of wireless features to offer, including the ability to stream a wide-range of audio formats, including WAV, FLAC, and ALAC.

You can also stream high-resolution audio to the receiver thanks to the DSD support up to 5.6MHz.

EOS AVR can also be connected to HDMI devices like a Blu-ray player, or anything else via one of the four HDMI inputs, all of which support HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2, meaning that it supports 4K Ultra HD and High Dynamic Range (HDR).

The Denon HEOS AVR is on sale from April for £799.
