Bungie has today announced that the early beta for Destiny is now available for anyone with a console, even those who didn’t pre-order the game.

“Today, at 4:00 PM PDT, we’re opening the Destiny Beta to anyone who wants to create a character and walk in their boots. There are, of course, some requirements. You’ll need to have a compatible console equipped with PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold. You’ll need to be brave,” explained the Bungie team on its website.

This comes after the Destiny Beta first launched for the PS4 and the PS3 on July 17th, and for Xbox Live subscribers on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 on July 23rd.

The beta will then end on July 28th at 2:39AM EST.

Those who play the beta on July 26th at 2PM PST will also recieve a special reward that will carry over to the full game when it launches on September 9th.

Before that happens, you can still pre-order the game from a number of retailers for £54.99 on the PS4 and the Xbox One, or £44.99 for the PS3 or Xbox 360.
