[Original Story] Previously we have seen a few rumours about Destiny’s next expansion. Reportedly named Rise of Iron, it is expected to be announced during a live stream from Bungie on June 9th.

However, ahead of that time, the Rise of Iron expansion has leaked on not only the Bungie website, but also on the Xbox Store, revealing that it will be available from September 20th.

The listing also only mentions that it will be available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which could mean that this is the year that Bungie will leave the old generation consoles behind. From the Xbox Store we can also see that the expansion will require the base game and The Taken King expansion to play.

The store also mentioned that the expansion will expand the explorable territory on Earth in Old Russia, with the addition of a new zone called The Plaguelands.

Here’s the full list of items that the Xbox Store mentioned:

  • New Story Campaign & Quests
  • New Armor and Gear
  • New Weapons
  • New Raid
  • Maximum Light Increase
  • New Strike
  • New Plaguelands Zone & Social Space
  • New Crucible Mode & Maps
  • New Enemy Faction and Bosses

As of yet, none of this has been confirmed, but it is a pretty strong leak. We expect to hear more about the expansion after Bungie’s live stream tomorrow and during E3 2016.
