Today DJI, the popular drone manufacturer announced an enhanced version of their Mavic Pro and the Phantom 4 Pro, both of which have brand new features that build upon what they did with the previous versions.

The DJI Mavic Pro Platinum is an update to the Mavic Pro, which keeps the same foldable design and most of the design but with a few changes.

To start off, DJI improved on the battery life with a new total of up to 30 minutes of flight time, which is pretty decent.

The drone also features a slightly different colour scheme with a 60 percent quieter design according to DJI, with 4dB lower noise.

Aside from that the camera still comes with a 12-megapixel camera that is stabilised on a 3-axis gimbal and it can shoot 4K video no problem. It also features a remote control range of 7km.

You can pick up this new Mavic Pro Platinum for £1,199 for the standard kit with the standard battery and remote. You can also buy the £1,459 version which comes with the drone, two batteries, a battery charging hub, a car charger, and a shoulder bag.

Both of these options will be available in late September.

Alongside this new Mavic Pro, DJI unveiled the new Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian, which also features a brand new dark grey colour scheme.

On top of that, the new version comes with a brand new design that features a matte grey plastic outer casing with a new magnesium camera gimbal that has been electroplated and coated with an anti-fingerprint finish.

It also comes with a 1-inch sensor that can shoot 20MP still photographs with the ability to record 4K video at 60 frames per second.

The new Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian is going to be available later this month for £1,589.
