At CES 2016 today, DJI announced that they plan to release a new version of its camera drones that will make the perfect companion to any videographer, allowing for what DJI claims to be the best possible aerial shots from a drone.

The first of the new devices is the Phantom 3 4K, which is a huge upgrade from the regilar Phantom 3 drone. Now able to shoot in official DCI 4K formats, the new drone is able to record great looking visuals in full 4K resolution.

It also comes with a range-extended WiFi link, that allows you to control the drone from much further away than was available before, in fact you can control it a full 3,937 feet away.

On top of this, DJI also announced the new Inspire 1 Pro at the show, which is designed to be a stealthier and faster drone than the Phantom 3, but is designed completely for the filmmaker, capable of shooting video from its 16 megapixel camera in a RAW format.

The Phantom 3 4K will be available for $999, whilst the Inspire 1 Pro will be a lot more expensive at $4,499.
