Anyone who regards themselves as a good Dota 2 player should be happy to know that the Dota 2 International 2014 prize pool has passed $10 million, which is all thanks to the 2014 Compendium sales that Valve has made.

The process all started when Valve opened the official digital program for the Dota 2 International 2014, granting them $2.50 for every $10 that is made from the Compendium.

According to Valve, the prize pool jumped from their own $600,000 contribution to over $4 million in just a week, and then just a week later the pool went up to $10 million, which is crazy when you consider last year’s $2.8 million prize pool.

Contribute to The International’s overall prize pool while receiving special rewards. The International Compendium is a virtual booklet that contains dozens of ways to interact with the year’s biggest Dota 2 tournament.

This year, you’ll earn even more rewards as you level up your Compendium by watching games, collecting player cards, making tournament predictions and more. It’s the next-best thing to being there.

The Dota 2 International 2014 competition will kick off on July 18th to July 21st, and will be hosted at the KeyArena in Seattle.
