HTC has this week announced that they will released a dual-SIM version of their popular HTC One in the UK, coming with the added extra of a microSD slot. It’s a version that has been available in Asia since the phone’s launch, but is only now rolling to other countries around the world.

This does however mean that the back cover is of course removable, which may be a downside to some who liked the HTC One’s robustness, alongside which the dual-SIM version isn’t 4G enabled and only one of the slots can carry a 3G card, with 2G only enabled for the other.

We’re not sure if this is exactly needed, but if you’re looking to cut down the amount of handsets you carry around, it might be a good option.

The HTC One Dual-SIM variant will be available from HTC’s official store as well as various online and high street retailers.
