EA have today announced the closure of yet another game, announcing that they will be shutting down both SimCity Social and Pet Society, after player numbers have fallen, stating that, “After millions of people initially logged in to play these games, the number of players and amount of activity has fallen off.”

Adding even more games to EAs very long list of closures, is definitely something a lot of users have come to expect, but it does make you wonder where these closures will end, and how long it will be till newer titles like SimCity and Battlefield see the same fate?

To reassure, EA did mention that they will be continuing to offer other games such as Bejeweled Blitz and Plants vs. Zombies, and will be revealing a special offer for a PopCap game soon.

Players will have up to June 14th 2013 to play both The Sims Social, SimCity Social and Pet Society.
