In order to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary, EA Sports announced earlier this weekend that they will be releasing Madden NFL 25, which may become quite confusing when we reach the 2025 season and the game is still around, as of course normally this title would be named Madden NFL 14, which is normally set according to the season in play.

Of course the new game also means that EA Sports will have to pick a new cover athlete, which is normally chosen through fan votes, a tradition that will continue on this year, however it will include a couple of changes.

This times fans will be able to vote from a list of NFL legends and the current NFL stars within a 64-player bracket, 32 of which will be the legends and the other 32 will be the current plays.

The players for which will be announced on March 11th on the ESPN show, SportsNation, and will also be the day when the first round of voting will begin.
