eBay has finally decided that the site needs as redesign, which they unveiled during their press event in New York this evening.

The new design has been compared widely to the Pinterest social networking site, with a new grid of product boxes on the front page which is filled by anything you follow, with your own feeds.

The design is also a bit cleaner, with less text and new touchscreen capabilities, within the new design you can also like any auction you chose,  alongside it there’s also the new Lifestyle Deals feature which provides users with a local coupon service similar to Groupon.

So far the deals feature is only in beta available in cities including Washington DC, San Francisco and LA, alongside it there’s also the new eBay Now feature, which will bring your shopping to your door on that same day, available from August.
