A new start-up company has this week been formed in San Francisco, called Eero the new started aims to create a product that is set to revolutionise the way that home networks are both used and installed.
To do this it has been designed to provide an easy way to setup a mesh network within your home or business in order to destroy black spots, helping to avoid connection issues around the home.
To make this work the Eero routers can be connected together and used to create a home network, this can be extended as far as the user needs it to be extended.
Each of these Eero routers are powered by a 1.0GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of internal flash storage, dual WiFi connections for simultaneous 2.4GHz/ 5.0GHz connections, and support for 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac wireless.
Eero also uses Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity to allow a smart phone or mobile device to aid in the setup and config of the router.
“As consumer devices change, we’ve seen two things happen,”-“First, streaming video is going through the roof. The number of hours, of people streaming content video in their homes is the highest it’s ever been.”
Eero’s CEO Nick Weaver explained
“We need coverage that works, and we need to have a more distributed system.”
