EE has revealed a brand new entry-level tablet today, called the Jay it offers a decent set of specs for a budget price tag.

Featuring a 7.85-inch display with a 1,024 x 768-pixel resolution, it is a 4G capable tablet that has a quad-core 1GHz processor, 16GB of inbuilt storage and a microSD card slot for extra storage expansion.

It also features a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with a flash, as well as a 3,600 mAh battery that is said to last up to seven hours on a single charge.

However, EE thinks that its biggest selling point is its 4G connectivity, which Sharon Meadows, EE’s director of devices explained with the following:

“With double speed 4G on our superfast network, it really does offer one of the best value tablet experiences that will keep users connected on the move.”

For that, EE is offering it for £120 on their pay-as-you-go plan, as well as on their pay monthly plan from £16 a month, but that can be increased should you want more data.

You can pick up the EE Jay from EE’s high-street stores and online store today.
