Ahead of the release of the upcoming Morrowind expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online, the developers have today released a smaller update for the game.
Called Homestead, the free add-on update is now available on the PC and Mac versions of the game, and will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One versions of the game on February 21st.
Once you have installed it, the Homestead will bring the ability for players to purchase and customise their own homes in the game world of The Elder Scrolls Online.
All of these homes will be instanced, and there will be around 40 different home options to choose from.
This includes the option to pick up something from a small room up to a huge manor estate.
You will even be able to buy an island if you so choose to. Each of this purchasable land will be themed around one of the 10 races from the game, however, they can be used by any character and are shared across your account. You will also be able to customise these homes with over 2,000 pieces of furniture and decorations from chairs to paintings.
You can either purchase or craft these items, however, purchasing requires either Crowns or gold. Crowns are the games premium currency that costs real-world money.
You will get a free home just by completing the tutorial.
