Elgato has today announced a couple of new smart home products that have been developed to work with Apple’s recently announce HomeKit platform.

The first of which is the Avea smart lighting system that is compatible with iOS, and will work much like the Philips Hue to allow users to create a smart mood lighting experience and control the lighting style from their iOS device. It will also offer a wake-up function, with controls for seven scenes, and a number of colours, all of which is available to control via the accompanying application and a Bluetooth connection.

The Avea will be priced at £39.99.

Elgato also announced a home monitoring system named Eve, which comprises of a number of sensors that can track the users energy consumption and use it in order to allow the user to check their home’s environment.

Eve will also be compatible with iOS, and will work with HomeKit to report data on air quality, temperature, humidity and both energy and water consumption.

As of yet there’s no pricing that has been announced for Eve.
