A new product has today been revealed that is similar to the Livescribe smartpen, called the Equil Smartmarker, the marker has been designed for anyone who uses a whiteboard and allows users to digitise the writing and drawings they have made on a whiteboard.

“The Equil Smartmarker let’s everyone stay on the same page, no matter where you happen to be. Save, share and stream whiteboard notes and drawings to anyone on any device, whether in the same room or half a world away.

Brainstorm and plan on walls covered with whiteboard paint, glass or your favorite mounted or rolling whiteboarding surface. Generate charts, diagrams, lists, mind maps on surfaces up to 16 feet in width (over 5 meters).

Whiteboard the way you’re used to using standard dry erase markers. Capture notes in real-time, or download them later to your computer and mobile devices. Save and sync with iCloud, Dropbox and Evernote so your content travels with you.

For devoted whiteboarders, visual thinkers and planners, Equil Smartmaker is a small, easy to set up, essential tool that captures notes for up to a week of meetings on a single charge.”

It is expected that the Equil Smartmarker will launch within the next couple of months, however you can already sign up your interest to get a notification when it is available.
