If you are slightly disappointed with No Man’s Sky then you might be happy to know that Eve Online is going free-to-play.

It will be free-to-play from this November in a similar way to World of Warcraft, allowing users to play the game in full, however, you will only be able to train on the most-used ships.

As part of this move, Eve Online will br removing the trial account system. From November, existing characters will become “Omega clones”, who have the same unlimited access to skill progression and rapid training, however, new characters will be “Alpha clones” who are able to fully explore Eve Online’s universe but only train in a selected set of common ships.
