Evernote have just revealed that their iOS application will soon be getting an update with a brand new design, starting with the home screen which has been completely changed from top to bottom.

Instead of the old view the new app will allow you to simply tap or slide a header to expand and see the documents within, this allows you to quickly switch between notebooks, all notes, tags and places.

Their will also be a new recent notes section on the iPad that will display your most recently viewed notes on the home screen, there’s also a new quick note button which is placed right at the top and allows you to quickly create a new note, or add a picture to one of your notebooks.

A lot of other features have also been redesigned with the notebook list and places map redesigned to provide a more “streamlined” experience.
