This year will defiantly be the year of the tablet, where mobile electronics are concerned. As most high-end models will be moving to the Tegra 2 chipset, at the show were looking for a bit of Tegra 3 action, as well as keeping is eyes out for a possible second BlackBerry Playbook, as well as Asus’s Transformer Prime Mini.
Where phones are concerned almost every big name in mobile will be at CES 2012, the first of which will be Motorola who we expect some pretty big things this year, as they have already announced their new budget Motoluxe alongside the Motorola Defy Mini, we are also expecting an update to their Razr range.
Another big name we expect to see this year is HTC, who we are expecting a confirmation on their next rumoured tablet, the HTC Quattro, alongside this we are also looking for a bit of information on the UK version of their Jetstream tablet.
In mobiles, a lot of possible HTC models have been leaked recently, one of which being the quad-core HTC Edge, as well as the dual-core HTC Ville.
The next obvious manufacturer at the show is Acer who have also had a possible tablet leaked recently, called the Acer Iconia A700, which is said to be much bigger and better than the Iconia A500, with the expected quad-core update and 1080p resolution display.
As always Samsung will also be looking to steal the show with their release of the Galaxy S III, it should be shown off at this years CES.
Of course though we also expect a lot from LG this year through both their new TV innovations as well as their mobile electronics, one phone which has already been leaked is called the LG Optimus U1, which is rumoured to much quicker than any other phone on the market, as well as running Google’s new Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
This year is defiantly going to be a big one for Sony Ericsson, which has recently dropped its Ericsson counterpart to become Sony, this could mean for some exciting new phones, or could just be a name change for the usual ones, one phone everyone is expecting to be at the show is defiantly the Xperia Arc HD, as well as the leaked Sony Ericsson Xperia Nozomi, which is reported to pack a 4.3 display with an HD resolution screen, as well as a 1.5GHz processor and 1GB of RAM
Of course last but not least is Nokia who we know will be at CES this year, alongside this we also know they will be conducting their own Windows Phone themed conference, suggested that some new Windows Phones could be released, one on which we are expecting is the Lumia 900, which features a 4.3inch AMOLED screen, 8MP camera and 4G for the US.
