A few weeks ago Face.com was acquired by Facebook and “as part of the process they need to close up existing products and services”, which basically means they will be shutting down APIs in order to better integrate with Facebook.

This is according to Face.com is to “focus on new products at Facebook,” this will mean that a lot of developers will end up with broken apps from developers using those APIs, including Face.coms own app called Klik which will be removed from the app store on July 20th.
