Facebook has today announced its own story and news aggregation application, called Paper it will be released in the US for the iPhone on February 3rd, but in a similar way to Flipboard rather than just linking to your Facebook profile, it will offer the chance to view “stories” from the users Facebook News Feed, as well as subjects that have been curated by the company, including subjects like sports, food, science and design.

The subjects will be split into sections that are available to personalise to the way the user prefers to see.

Paper will also allow users to explore content with “natural movements”, gestures link tilting your phone to view high-resolution panoramic photos as well as thumbing quickly through stories.

Videos will also autoplay in fullscreen, and the app will also allow you to publish your own stories.
