Facebook have today announced that Facebook for iOS will soon be reaching version 5.6, a version which will allow users to use cover photos within the app, as well as a few new improvements, mainly with group messaging.

In the new app, users can change their cover photo by selecting the option within the app and then uploading a photo they have just taken or one from the camera role, which will be limited to those with an iPhone.

Group messaging also got some improvements, and starting a group message now requires fewer steps, its also easier for users to find people to add to group conversations.

There’s no word on when these new features will make their way to the Android version of the app, but if your an iOS user you can download it today from the App Store from today.
